Hemet and the San Jacinto Valley have deep agricultural roots, shaped by ranching, irrigation, rail access, orchards, farms, and the hardworking people who helped the valley grow. Crops like citrus, apricots, peaches, olives, walnuts, and grain were part of the region’s story, along with later traditions of dairy and turkey ranching.
